The keyboard keys fn+F5 and fn+F6 do not work for changing the brightness under windows 10 in HP Zbook Laptop. Other fn keys, like for changing the volume – work. How do I fix this?
Here are some ways which would work with my HP laptop with Windows 10:
- Change the keyboard driver to
Standard PS/2 keyboardand thefnkeys combination will start working. - Also, download and install .NET Framework 3.5, yes older version is required for
fnkeys combination to work.
If the above method doesn’t work, then its time to update the HP windows drivers for your computer to the latest version.
Download HP SoftPaq Download Manager, install it, run and let it install every missing driver (including Hot-key driver & latest BIOS). That would surely fix this issue.
